Author and Creator DONALD MITCHELL was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania until the age of fifteen (1980) when his family moved to Spokane, Washington with his step-father. Six years later they all moved back to Philadelphia. Donald had a double major in college, Math and Physics and was nominated for a General Electric Math Scholarship. For 28 years, Donald has done Philanthropy & Community Outreach work. He is presently working with the F.S. Edmonds Home & School Association and plans to continue working with the Phila. School District & the Phila. Library System. He is also doing book readings and book donations to Children Hospitals and various charities.
Mitchell created SiANi RACING to encourage, inspire and show the world how fun life can be when it is enriched by family and good friends. SiANi RACING will play a part in teaching children Reading, Writing, Arithmetic and Integrity through Animated books, merchandise, movies and music. Their unique characters, animated engine parts will be fun for children, their parents and anyone who is an automobile enthusiast. "Welcome To My Garage” is book one of their series.
He has been with his wife Co-Author & Co-Owner of SiANi RACING, TOYA MITCHELL for 34 years. “SiANi” of “SiANi Racing” stands for their three gorgeous daughters: Si - Siani, A - Amber, N - Nyla and i - incorporated.
Donald and Toya have teamed up with illustrator JIM MANOCCHIO www.jimmynock.com, who is an Emmy Award and a Golden Medallion Award nominee to bring SiANi RACING to the world. Jim has been animating/illustrating for 37 years. Jim worked at Disney, Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network on such projects as, Men In Black (Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones), Sponge Bob Square Pants, Lady and the Tramp II, Alvin and the Chipmunks and NFL on Fox.
Donald has 50 years of experience in the Automotive Field as an Apprentice/Professional Race Engine Builder/Machinist. He worked on projects for Ed Belfour (1998-1999) NHL Hockey Champion with the Dallas Stars and a mechanic who performed work for Tom Sneva (1983 Indianapolis 500 Winner, first man over 200 mph, first driver to qualify over 210 mph). At Koffel’s Place and other shops, he worked on many Professional Race Engines to numerous to mention. In 1998 he couldn’t accept a very prestigious Engine Building position working for the late Dale Earnhardt (7 time NASCAR World Champion) at Dale Earnhardt Incorporated due to the pursuing of SiANi RACING and other businesses.
Mitchell has 40 years of experience as an Executive Producer/Disc Jockey/Group Manager. His partner has worked for Christina Aguilera, Macy Gray and many “A” list artist.

In the 1st grade, during recess, one of Siani’s classmates asked her, “What happened to your hand?” Siani answered, “I was born that way.” I told her, “I will make that a book one day.” Twelve years later, here it is.
Siani is my oldest daughter. She was born with a contracture of the right wrist. A shortened tendon pulls her hand towards her pinky and ring fingers. It also restricts the movement of those fingers. She has never allowed that to stop her from doing anything.
